Developed by the International Tennis Federation, the world governing body of tennis, the ITF World Tennis number is free to use for all ages and genders and has been adopted by the USTA and in over 170 countries.

how usta oklahoma uses WTN

seeding

The World Tennis Number (WTN) is used for seeding for the Level 6-7 tournaments.

groupings

WTN is used to help create level based round robin brackets.

selections

We utilize a hybrid selection method for L6 tournaments. The top 12 players are first selected using the National Standings List (NSL) and then the next 4 are selected utilizing the WTN. Alternate lists are ordered by NSL.
